Basic Tools for a Newbie

What a newbie should understand is that there is NO magic button which will bring him money overnight. So don’t spend your money blindly buying programs looking for the magic button. There are many ways to make money legitimately on the internet.
People use what are called business models to make money on the net and you will be learning to use some or all of these later on to get your share of the cake.

A newbie should  first acquire an overall knowledge of internet marketing so that pitfalls associated with his journey towards making money on the internet can be minimized or eliminated.

I shall be providing links to such information on these pages. Please go though them and first gain some general knowledge about making money on the internet.
You may also visit one of my websites that I had put up for newbies. You can visit this site to understand the basics of  internet marketing.  http://www.internet-cash-4u.com
I have also located a few gurus who provide simple easy to understand information for beginners and you can confidently use their programs. They are not paying me to say this but I have used many of their programs and I have found them to be newbie friendly and the tutorials simple and easy to follow.

To begin, get your tools ready. The following are good steps to start with:

First, get a computer with a high speed internet connection and also a printer.

Learn to use the computer confidently.

Install the required programs like:

- Adobe Reader – A program which will enable you to open and read .pdf documents
- Winzip – To extract and open zipped files. Usually large files are compressed to reduce transfer time when they are either uploaded or downloaded.
- Filezilla – A free FTP program which will enable you to upload files to your server.
- NVU – A free HTML editor which will enable you to make changes on a web page.
They are all free to download and use.

You will also need a credit card and a Paypal account to be able to buy the recommended courses to complete your training on internet marketing.  A Paypal account is recommended as it provides security and certain advantages for the newbie.

The above are the basic tools you need to start your venture into internet marketing and you may add whatever you find necessary once you have learnt the ropes.

You will also need to use an Autoresponder, but that will be dealt with separately on another page.

You can make money both with and without a website, but in the long run, it is better to have your own website or blog.
